Please join us Wednesday 18 September, 5–7pm to celebrate the opening of An Iconography of Doubt, by PhD candidate Esther Deans.
Deans’ practice is concerned with fragile ecologies; be it at a global scale, such as the impact of climate change, or a social domain, such as communities of faith, which Deans describes as an ecosystem of fellowship. The exhibition draws on a range of sources, including ideas of eschatology, time, literature, art history, memory, and nature, to build a unique and distinctive painterly language that speaks to both personal and universal themes.
