Julia Holderness' final exhibition of her PhD, Florence Weir: a poster archive & Schemes for Vibrant Living consists of an audio work, a poster display capturing some of artist and textile designer Florence Weir's history and sets of objects from her various design series. This PhD, Ever Present Archiving: methodologies for art histories has developed modes of fabrication, invention and social practice to explore the construction of art-historical narratives and the productive and contingent nature of the archive. Combining fictional elements with art historical investigation the project oscillates between representation and production of the past.
